The native necklace represented by a feather with a stone of various colors set was created to evoke a sense of freedom, lightness. According to the American Indians, feathers were a magical means by which dreams and desires could fly , so that they could come true.For the ancient tribes , feathers represented social status but also strength , as they often adorned weapons, such as the spears. At this juncture, moreover, feathers were useful in case of battle to send messages: these were carved according to secret codes in order to communicate with their companions. In modern times , feathers can mean lightness, the ability to fly that distinguishes birds from other living beings, but also beauty , vanity and royalty .
